The theme for my day today has been recognition.
As the saying goes; babies cry for it and grown men die for it.
It’s also been the theme within my coaching with clients this week and it stuns me that more leaders and managers don’t harness the power of giving more recognition. At exit interviews for employees the number one reason sited for leaving is the lack of recognition, whereas at the exit interview employers guess the number one reason for their people leaving is pay factors.
Who can you extend recognition to this week? And where do you need to grant it to yourself as well?
