Seen that show Mad Men, set at the start of the 60’s? It’s an American period drama and the things that stand out as incredulous to watch and witness are the roles of women in that workforce and era, and the constant smoking – in the office, the boardroom, every meeting. Yuck!
Jump 20+ years to the 80’s and the stockmarket game – the dramatized world shared in ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ – what stands out was the excess, the drugs, and just how crazy the investment practices were that they used.
So what will future generations look back upon in this era and scoff at?
My guess is it will be the use of sugar, ineffectiveness at work-life balance, ineffective support for mental health issues and the pay gap between genders.
As leaders, what can we do about these now, in our shopping habits, our workplaces, our families and communities? Where would that take our lives and impact?
Something to ponder……
Give me a hoy if you would like someone to help you with these, to join your team.
I promise no smoking in your space. No sugar. No drugs. Let’s bust those pay gaps!
