The more I think about it the more I chuckle! Seriously folks, it exists. Silent speed dating. I was at a business event a couple of weeks back and in the same venue in another of the function rooms there was a silent speed dating event going on. And guess what, it was pretty quiet inside. Pretty quiet indeed.

I and another participant snuck out of our seminar, out onto the balcony and tip-toed around to peek in the SSD window to see how it all worked; all the wanna-be-daters were face to face in pairs, with hands stretched out in front of them, palm to partners palm, as they silently gazed into one another’s eyes and connected. Wow. And the room was packed. Was so tempted to waltz in and say in a loud voice “sorry I’m late, is this the silent speed da………” and then hush myself.

Next thing that has had me baulking and grinning at the same time this week are outdoor heated birdbaths. For the poor little chilly birdy-wirdies in the wintertime. I kid you not. They exist. And people buy them.

And the third is a guy who’s official job is to test waterslides at holiday resorts. Everything from speed, water flow and the all important landing at the end. Dream job huh?

No pondering from me this week. Just a wish that you find the fun in your world today. What if there was just a litttttle bit more fun…..
