How totally cool – YOU could be listed on a new “premier website of Global Experts” specifically designed for the journalist community to interview world-leading folk on all manner of topics.
Which could look like this: Career Doldrums……Want More……Call 1800HeidiH
I was thinking, if I was working on that project from day 1 in an admin database role, and had the task of choosing (assuming they agreed) who would be listed and for what area of expertise, then who would I choose? And what topics need to be forefront for journalists to share (assumption 2 – that media magnates and editors had to allow the articles to go ahead)?
Well the Dalai Lama was a given, on all things happiness. Billy Connolly was up at number 1 for joke delivery, observing human nature and causing belly laughs. A High School History teacher of mine shot straight to poll position for nose picking abilities whilst teaching. Rock star legendary status (both on stage and in the earnings department) of course went to The Wiggles. And leadership was pretty much covered by a combo of Nelson Mandela, Stephen Covey and leaders who put Simon Sinek’s advice into practice.
Back on track Heidi…….Anyway, my questions to you, to ponder for this week are:
- Imagine you are invited onto that list in 5 years time. What would you want to be a global expert in?
- Reflecting your answer above, what can you add or let go of, to help you get to that position?
- And who are you currently listening to (actively or passively) as a professed expert? Are they best person for you to be receiving information from?
As always, if you are ready to bust a belief, feel / look / sound / be different, and are keen to tap into a support team then you know where to find me…………HH
Who else do you know that likes thinking & questioning? Plus being the best that they can be? Well forward this on and invite them into the community 🙂
